Joe Hill Revival

Finding Inspiration in Every Turn
The Brooklyn Tavern Theater ensemble first began performing in 2017 in the tavern Franklin 820 in Bed Stuy, Brooklyn. The brainchild of Dan Furman and his wife Kim Allen, PhD. In 7 years the Brooklyn Tavern Theatre Company has grown to include 21 members with the acting and stage managing company.

Thrilling, powerful, timely productions — from Impossible But True, the Joe Hill Revival to Walls and Windows.

Today, the company's artistic force remains rooted in the original vision of its founders: an artist-driven theatre, whose vitality is defined by its appetite for bold and innovative work. Every aspect of BTT is rooted in its Ensemble ethos, from the intergenerational artistic programming.
Locally recognized work of BTT Education and Engagement which serves nearly 1500 teens annually.

BTT operates as a not-for-profit organization relying on community support to produce or present engaging plays, readings and other events every year. The theatre’s artistic programming draws a multi-generational audience from the greater Brooklyn area, with a broader impact that reaches all around the metropolitan area.
